This Presque Isle Township Septic/Well Inspection and Property Transfer Ordinance takes effect on November 8, 2025.  A brochure (which also serves as a time-of-transfer notification) is available to help summarize the requirements of the ordinance and answer common questions about how the ordinance affects property owners and buyers.  You can pick up a copy of the brochure at the township hall or download it here. If you’re unsure whether your property has a septic permit, you must complete a Request for Review of Public Records and submit it to District Health Department #4.  This form is available at the township hall or you can download by clicking here.  To schedule a septic inspection, you must call District Health Department at (989)734-4723.  You will need to submit an Application for Existing Private Onsite Water & Wastewater System Inspection.  This application is available at the township hall or you can download it by clicking here.
