A petition dated June 12, 2026, was filed with the Presque Isle County Circuit Court to establish seasonal lake levels for Grand Lake. The intent of the petition is to establish summer and winter lake levels, allowing Grand Lake to be drawn down to a lower level each fall and refilled in the spring. The petition will be reviewed by the Presque Isle County Circuit Court on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Presque Isle County Circuit Court, 151 E. Huron Avenue, Rogers City, MI 49779. Property owners may submit written testimony and/or evidence regarding the petition in advance of the hearing, or they may attend the hearing in person to provide testimony.
